I have related various past issues to this issue, much relevant discussion is on those issues, but as it is going to be distant in time from our final implementation, with a lot shifting around until then, I wanted a short and simple issue to be the one that is open.

Ideally we want to have multiple themes available for selection from the Theme Wizard. You'd click a thumbnail of the theme you want and it would be downloaded onto the server and installed from the wizard.

Elementy is an excellent template we can take some inspiration from...

It's Bootstrap-based. We could override page templates in the theme for particular great looking pages, pulling in from many default styles we supply. (Theme-overridable page templates isn't a feature right now, but it could be added easily).

We'd probably extend the Setup Wizard so that if our NG theme was selected it would recreate default pages from the templates automatically.

Assigned to Salman. This issue is pretty out of date, we'll need to discuss. Essentially as things current stand, we want the new default theme to be excellent.
