Yes! I would still like to see view counts (when visiting content), but if that gets stripped it's not that big of a deal. Will there still be a way to view and/or display a count for videos, galleries, downloads?

Maybe actually removing all generic stats is a bit much, perhaps just limit them to the very basic overview stats, and don't allow digging down into a per-page level (because that's where IMO it gets messy, has lots of code, and competes most poorly because it's trying too hard and still not competing).

I'll be reintroducing stats changes under a new proposal.
