Update on the tracker

Hello everyone,

You may have noticed that the tracker is currently locked. What I noticed happening is that it will frequently throw an invalid form token error (and then you lose everything you filled out; Mantis does not have autosave functionality like Composr). Form tokens are exclusively tied to PHP sessions. And I think because my server has a load balancer, PHP is sometimes unable to remember Mantis sessions between requests.

While I like the versatility of Mantis, it has lately been giving me a lot of problems, especially with the integration with Composr. I believe it is also overwhelming for several users. It has a lot of features that we do not need or use.

I am working on a native issue tracker for the software. It will replace Mantis. And my plan is that it will be simpler to use for everyone. It will utilize Composr's catalog system with a few customizations. Once finished, I will migrate the issues on Mantis over to Composr. This will also eliminate the need for us to maintain our own fork of Mantis and the integration with Composr.

I will update you when this is finished; this is currently the top priority because I need a working issue tracker to go through what needs to be fixed for 11 beta9.
