Important 10.0.50 changes coming
10.0.50 will revert cookie changes made in 10.0.49
The release of 10.0.49 (specifically the cookie changes) did not seem to favor / work well for multiple users despite the release having gone through its usual testing. As such, I am going to be reverting the changes made by the following tracker issues in the 10.0.50 release:
- https://compo.sr/tracker/view.php?id=5888 (actually was just a patch for 5887, but it will not be included in v10 since I am reverting 5887)
- https://compo.sr/tracker/view.php?id=5889 (actually was just a patch for 5887, but it will not be included in v10 since I am reverting 5887)
Other fixes that were made in 10.0.49 will remain in place.
Composr CMS v10 is entering Long Term Maintenance status
We do not have the funding or the resources anymore to spend on version 10. As such, we are delegating our efforts and resources to v11. Starting in 10.0.50, version 10 of Composr CMS will enter "Long Term Maintenance" (LTM) status. Here is what that will mean for you:
- Version 10 will from then on only receive updates / patch releases for critical bugs that break sites, or for significant security holes, which affect multiple users.
- Tracker issues for v10 that do not fall into the above categories will either be delegated to version 11, or closed (if already fixed, or not applicable, in v11).
- Those who would like ongoing v10 maintenance should consider hiring an outside PHP developer to help maintain their v10 site. You can check out the Composr partners for some of them.
