Community Site Showcase

Hello all,

I'm pleased to announce that we've added a showcase for Composr websites.

You can list your own site, and upvote/downvote other listed sites. This will help you promote your site and also see what other sites are out there.

Many people have asked for this feature over the years but we hadn't done it because I was concerned about the potential for sites being abandoned and picked up by 'adult website' spammers, and the big maintenance burden that this implies. The up/down vote system, and report button, should solve that problem nicely though.

This is primarily a community tool, showing what regular people can do with Composr, rather than just some kind of portfolio listing for commercial projects.

We're still tweaking the rating code a bit, so that will change a bit over the next few days, but it won't fundamentally change and is similar to how it works on Reddit.

For anyone curious, this is built on the Composr catalogues feature, with just a little bit of extra code. Under-the-hood an upvote is a rating of 10 and a downvote is a rating of 1.

Merry Christmas / Happy Holidays,
The Composr CMS team.
