I personally think a non-country specific domain name may have been a better choice, but the decision was made and regardless of the .sr domain it should be just as accessible as a .com or .org by visitors from anywhere in the world.

I'm actually considering this a bit more, but haven't finished thinking about it.

We do own the .org, which now redirects as of yesterday .

I'm very happy with community partners registering composr.ir or whatever domains and setting up a simple support site (so long as they are maintaining it well). I can't push anyone into it though, whoever wants to do this needs to have the drive and enthusiasm to do it.

We could set up official subdomains, like ir.composr.org that redirect. These would be a way of us 'verifying' the support site. Or, we could simply redirect it to a pinned topic in the internationalisation forum and someone could maintain that topic (which would be simpler for them).

Pure Tamil, but the administrative strings are in English.

Are you planning to add English and make it multi-language?

Actually it's not a site, it's a language pack we've published; I'm not aware of anyone using it yet. We made it for a couple of reasons:

1. As an internal testing process to ensure it was as easy to do a translation as possible (we made many improvements as a result)
2. Rajesh is doing some local promotion with development agencies in the region

It can certainly run parallel with English though. We still have all that multi-language functionality . Plus we now use utf-8 as the default which helps.
