Email server configuration

Hello everyone, I'm new to composr and I'm struggling with email configuration.

My forum is located in WebHostMost where a default email is created.

Then, I created a info@xyz email from where I'm able to send email (I tried to send an email directly from roundcube and it works).

The problem is that if the forum wants to send an email (for example verification email after registration) the email itself is sent using the default email address created by webhostmost.

I was not able to find the section where I can configure the info@xyz email.

Could you please support me? Thanks in advance!

Hello,

I'm not sure I'm fully understanding. Let me get clarification.

When you sign up for the web host, you get a default e-mail address.

You created a separate e-mail address, info@xyz, which you want to use with Composr.

When Composr tries sending mail, the "from" address is the default e-mail address you got from the web host and *not* info@xyz, which is what you want.

Is this correct?

I think what he is saying is the host sets up a master email account.

If you have several domains you set up emails for each domain, since the default is the master, emails are generated on the master account and not through a domain or the domain name.

In which case you need to set up SMTP to use that account for that domain.

SMTP may be a good starting point. In the Admin Zone > Setup > Configuration > Server Options > SMTP you can set settings to tell Composr to use an SMTP server for outgoing mail.

Note that newsletters use a separate set of settings under Admin Zone > Setup > Configuration > Messages > Newsletter SMTP Settings
