Sudden Errors Showing

Out of nowhere, after hours of 0 errors, I suddenly get this:

26-Feb-2025 04:50:15 UTC PHP Deprecated

ctype_alnum() [<a href='http://php.net/manual/en/function.ctype-alnum.php'>function.ctype-alnum.php</a>]: Argument of type int will be interpreted as string in the future in /sources/database/mysqli.php on line 190

What could it mean? Well, it would appear that it's calling for a string but getting an integer. Luckily Composr CMS is very versatile, but would it let me edit the PHP file? I'm no programmer, but it's fairly straight forward. I wonder if running this on the SQL databases while the website is running is a good idea or not. Not sure, but I need to buy a backup program for the files if I accidently corrupt something.

Suggestions appreciated! Btw, Composr is AWESOME!

Do you know what version of PHP you are using? You can usually ignore PHP deprecation errors, but they should still be reported to us like you just did so we can ensure future PHP compatibility.

And yes, backups are critical. If your web host does not have a backup tool, you can use Composr's backup addon as a last resort to back up your site and database.

PHP as reported from admin zone: 8.2.27

Patrick, thank you for reminding me about the BUILT IN backup tool. Composr is, by far, the best CMS system and I applaud you for single handedly keeping this project afloat. Thank you!!

Thank you; that's an odd error for PHP 8.2. I'll look into it. Please report to the issue tracker if you can so I don't forget.

And no problem, though I wouldn't say I'm single-handedly doing it. While I'm the only active developer, there are several members who are testing Composr (especially version 11) and reporting to me any issues they find.
