Embeding a dynamic block on the gallery page

Using the dynamoc block but in a more specific way than it iappears to be designd for.

Again I am playing around with the Ecommerce and Shopping Card potential in Composr 10.0.43.

My site is an art based website and my current focus is in selling artwork directly from my page. I have gallery pages showing the artwork and know I can add a dynamic block for main_cc_embed on the gallery page. But when i add the main_cc_embed, the product catalogue lists all the other paintings in the catalogue too. I only want to list the one painting product that matches the one gallery image of the painting. Is there a way to define this so only the matching product will show on block that I put on the gallery page? Thank you.

It can get a little tricky, but it might be possible with a small amount of Tempcode.

What's the URL for the page viewing the product? That way I know the permalink structure you are using and can come up with an example.

Hello,

My apologies, I just realized you said "gallery pages".

Here's what you could do: You can add a gallery custom field, the type being a reference to a products catalogue entry. Then, edit the gallery images and select the relevant product. Do the same from now on when adding.

Don't make the field required unless the only thing you use the galleries for is showcasing your products. Ideally the field should otherwise be hidden on gallery pages if they do not coincide with a product (e.g. the field is left blank).

Let me know how this goes for you.
