Point awards - news vs. blogs

Just noticed (on my site) that "news" submissions generate points for the poster but personal "blogs" do not.  Is there a setting that would impact that?  I would have thought that since blogs are part of the news system, they would use the same point rules.

You've found a bug.

Notes for my reference…

give_submit_points called in crud_module.php with lang_type, differing in cms_blogs (NEWS_BLOG vs NEWS). points_ADD_NEWS.php exists, points_ADD_NEWS_BLOG.php does not.
