I have a little problem and I would like to display the total number of hits in the statistics, how do I do this?
I mean in the block menu, on the home page. Can I change this?

Go to Admin Zone → Setup → Configuration → Block options → Site statistics

By enabling 'Hits today' check box, you can show total number hits for the day in statistics. I couldn't spot any other hits statistics option. However, there are more other site statistics options are available in the configuration page.
