Damn things....

OK here comes my daily folly!

I am trying to expand the box that controls the example below….

Breadcrumbs.png

I circled the area and I believe this line controls it, I could be wrong.

<div class="tooltip tooltip_ownlayout boxless_space" id="329" style="left: 1084px; top: 216px; width: 191px; display: none; position: absolute; max-width: 40%;">Welcome to Brat Rats - Rat Worx</div>

How do I get this to expand so that it isn't cutting the name off???

Thanks for the assist

There's a config option, "Breadcrumb segment length".

OK I found the setting and set it to 40 now no breadcrumbs show at all on just the home page….

Which is fine for my home page and the other pages are cool. However shouldn't this just expand on the block and drop the title down instead after the adjustment. Curious.

I doubt only changing that setting would have that effect.

Are you sure you're testing with the same user, from the exact same URL, and haven't changed any other settings like page parentage or breadcrumb XML settings?

It may be you're comparing breadcrumbs on the site zone front page to the welcome zone front page, or comparing with an admin user vs a non-admin user.

I just compared admin to non admin same effect breadcrumbs disappear on both sides. I am using single site only format.

Both show the breadcrumbs absenton just the start page.  I have not changed the XML, CSS or anything but in the config for percentage.

If I drop it to 25 as original it will show the same as my attachment.

Code (php)

  1.

Ok, weird - sounds like a bug. I'll take a look.

Ok, it is a subtle bug. It's actually not meant to show in either case. But when it gets cropped it thinks the "<abbr>" tag is an "<a>" tag, so it thinks it has to show it.

The rule is supposed to be "don't show it if there are no links".
