Ion my 7' tablet, browsing on portrait mode serves pages as regular smartphone would. On landscape mode it functions as a tablet.
I noticed the slider addon isn't responsive.
On potrait:

On landscape mode it displays normally.
I also noticed that Portfolio theme holds the slider in position, so I guess its a theme issue.

I think it's a width issue. Portfolio has a non fixed layout. I ticked fixed layout in theme options.

I don't quite follow what you're saying I'm afraid, as the topic reads as a jumble of your own theme, a third party theme, and a non-bundled addon's behaviour.

However, I did see the addon was not responsive. I have updated the addon, basically upgrading Skitter which is powering it – but also documenting what the width/height parameters do better. This seems to have fixed the issue .
