What web servers is composr compatible with?

Hi,

We test on Apache primarily, but also IIS.

However almost any webserver should work, if you know how to configure PHP to run on that server. We don't provide any guidance to setting up URL schemes on servers other than Apache or IIS, so if you want URL schemes (SEO URLs) you need to work out how to configure them from the rules we provide for Apache in recommended.htaccess.
I think Nginx has it's own system for rewrites, but Litespeed is fully Apache compatible so should actually work out-of-the-box.

WebMatrix/ISS work perfectly. However I will note one VERY important mention….

You MUST make sure you have at least PHP 5.X or above installed or you will have some very strange issues in install happening. I always update to the latest PHP but out of the box for ISS/WebMatrix they tend to install 5.1 which causes issues in ISS running correctly on install over localhost.

There are a few tricks to get it to work faster if you need me to post them I will.
