composr_quick_installer-10.beta2
HelloI have tried to install newest ver10 beta2 today and unfortunately I came across following error on step 7:
Critical error – bailing out
Could not connect to database-server (, mysql_connect(): User 'u590371617_rage' has exceeded the 'max_user_connections' resource (current value: 3))

Depending on the error, and only if the website installation finished, you may need to edit the installation options (the _config.php file).
ocProducts maintains full documentation for all procedures and tools. These may be found on the Composr website. If you are unable to easily solve this problem, we may be contacted from our website and can help resolve it for you.
I want to say, I am not a php wizard, I have little bit experience in hmtl/css coding etc. I have tried to contact hosting service but no replay from them yet neither I can edit user max limit by myself (using hostinger.pl).
There was similar error on setep 6 but after refresh it just dissapeared.
Is there fix/workaround. I much like this CMS and I would much appreciate help with the issue
Kind Regards
Greg

Since there is a lot of new code under the hood of composr, the installation part could take more resources compared to v9.x (I'm just guessing here). Chris will probably have the best answer how to resolve this.

As for 2nd issue I presented, well unfortunately I am not php expert that is why I have asked for help ;-)
So far what I have noticed with each intallation allocated value (tried to allocate 235 bytes) is different , even lowest as 32 bytes which is kinda strenge. I will try do manual installation or use different server for it (maybe local) when I have a moment, tho I think issue is worth looking at, as it make auto installation bit troublesome for ppl with less php experience.

1. Free hosting I use for testing seems too limited, more I try to install more limits I come across and "exhaustion" errors
2. I have tested v10 beta2 localy using XAMPP soft and it went thru without any issues.
3. Fatal error shows only when installing with integrated forum feature, seems installing forum take quite a lot of hosting resources during installation.
Guess changing hosting is in order :/ On the other note, some measures checking hosting setting might be good idea.

When I first started using ocPortal (version 7.x, I believe), it was on one of those free/low cost hosting plans. It wasn't a good experience (performance wise), and I soon went with a dedicated server, which was better. My only issues then were server configuration issues, which I worked out over time.

It shouldn't use that memory. There was an issue in beta 1 regarding this where it basically got into a loop in the setup wizard and ran out of memory as a result. It is difficult to tackle this in this form though, because a memory failure doesn't provide any useful context in the error message. If there is an issue, it's likely it'll come up in other testing or debugging, so hold tight. If it happens after beta 3 is released please re-report.
