The future of Composr v.PDComposr

Honestly I can barely navigate this forum. There's so much noise on the screen. I just replied to something that I have no idea what it was or how to edit it. It's so noisy.

So.

Obviously , you are Composr's last coder. The insane thing is…Composr is so much more robust than any other CMS! Chris has a wife, now. That's the end of his free time. I think he has been trying to say that for a few years. I think he means it. These days he is working on way bigger social network technology. He's done. Now…this next part…I have NO IDEA how to do this…but, can't you fork Composr off to a new name and start charging for it? Like $10 a month? If Chris isn't going to support the project, he probably won't care if someone else takes it and runs with it. If he won't do that, then that's a wrap. You have to fork it and charge for upkeep.
how did you end up here? This is weird… you somehow created a topic in the comments forum which is not attached to any content. Let me know what you did so I can figure out if this is a bug. Thanks!

I do agree Chris is probably not going to return, at least not anytime in the next several years. I'm operating on that principle.

As far as forking it and changing it to a paid Software as a Service… that cannot happen. It would violate the licence of Composr CMS (the licence states that forks must maintain the free and Open Source status) and would go against every core principle of the software (e.g. being an alternative to big tech).

I can charge for professional services (which I do). I can also charge for hosting Composr CMS sites if someone were to want me to host it. But I cannot charge for the software itself.
