#6144 - Re-brand Composr CMS and several of its sub-systems

I always thought the leap to Composr was a strange one. Then the renaming of the addons to match the name change was also weird (to me). If ocPortal is getting better results than Composr it seems likes the obvious choice to revert to that. However, Tempcode returns the Composr tutorial when I search for it. I rarely search for the other terms, and a reorganising of the tutorials to remove the deadweight would give me less reason to ever search for Filtercode, Selectcode, etc. so I'm not sure that the components must be renamed but reverting the name to ocPortal seems to be a no brainer.
To clarify:

ocPortal is not getting better results than Composr when comparing the two strictly; Composr obviously gets more results since that's the active name for the CMS. But ocPortal still shows up since it's the old name, and some sites still have not updated our name.

What I mean is that, if I do a search of Composr and compare the placement of Composr CMS relative to other things, and do the same for searching ocPortal and comparing the actual ocPortal software relative to other things, ocPortal places further up relative to other "ocPortal" results than Composr does relative to other "Composr" results. This indicates to me ocPortal is a more organic name than Composr.
Update: I'm getting outside remarks as well that the name "Composr" is a bad one for similar reasons. This further stresses my point we should not keep "Composr CMS".

Chris dislikes going back to ocPortal and I think if I recall is reluctant about changing the name. That's fine; we don't have to use ocPortal. But I also don't think we should use Composr.

Majority seems to suggest a name change... had multiple members in the community express the desire (including myself) and people from the outside. So a vote will probably be conducted on this at some point in the distant future. Again, this is a v12 consideration. v11 is too far into development for us to make any name changes now.
Outside suggestion: Harpsichord CMS

Their reasoning is because the term 'Harpsichord' is rarely used and therefore would be good for SEO. I'm not so sure, while they have a point with SEO, I fear such a name will make people think this is a music-oriented CMS when it's not (although that doesn't mean you can't build a music site with it).
For what it's worth I remember telling Chris I disliked the name changes for these reasons. ocPortal was a good name and CEDI I like better than Wiki+.

If reverting back to the old names isn't viable, maybe we should have a naming competition? You want more community involvement right? Let the users submit names, and we all vote on them.
Hello,

That's an idea. As mentioned, v11 is already deep in development. So a name change is not practical until v12.

…but a v12 is both really far away from the realm of plans, and it's not something that I even know will happen yet.

Perhaps I should open a measure asking the community if we should rename the software mid-v11. Not ideal, but at least we're still in the beta phase. If they vote yes, then we start a competition. I'll need an incentive to give away to the winner. I could give points and an exclusive achievement badge, but that might not be enough. If you have any ideas, please let me know.
