On my end, there is no breadcrumbs for /index.php?page=galleries&type=browse&id=root because it's already at root.

Can you elaborate a bit more? Do you get breadcrumbs on /index.php?page=galleries&type=browse&id=root and thus when clicking Gallery it takes you to page not found?

If so, do you have a breadcrumb override? Or if not, what page do these breadcrumbs appear?

I was referring to the breadcrumbs beneath the content, not the main ones. No overrides, default install.

I need more info... where are these breadcrumbs specifically? What block or page?
