I'm not sure if I understand / I'm not able to reproduce this. Are you talking about the homepage hero slider, and clicking the arrows causes the image to load twice (e.g. as indicated in the network tab of development tools in the browser)?

Yes the arrows. Once clicked the loadin effect happens twice.

I need a reproduction case; all works fine on my end on multiple installs. Did you change any theme settings from their defaults? Are you using a non-default gallery for the slider?
