I have no idea what you mean by the reproduction steps; what is "view new visitor"? And when you say forget to put your password in, do you mean try submitting the login form without a password specified?

It was a terrible example... but for the sake of simplicity, there should exist a breadcrumb on the Control Panel main screen to go to the site. The above is normal operation best I can revise to explain, go directly to the control panel without the site being open and ask how do I get into the site now.

The issue is breadcrumb overrides are not working when the page being viewed is by default a top-level page. The breadcrumb segments are therefore blank, which means substitutions via breadcrumb overrides never match.

This issue is beyond my capability of fixing. Assigned to Chris. This will probably not make it to the 10.0.45 patch as I plan to get that out in a few days. But once fixed, there will probably be a hotfix posted.
