Automated response: Problems parsing syntax-highlighted 'code' tag within WYSIWYG markup

This is a particularly complicated case, as the markup has to be converted from HTML back to plain text, before being processed for syntax highlighting.

There were some complexities stopping some cases working, which could have been working utilising utf-8.
