What exact version does this effect, and are we definitely talking actual page permissions and not category permissions (which aren't supported with menu checks)?

Can't reproduce on the latest v10 RC, and I doubt it broke on v9.

I imagine either it's an older v10 RC, or a confusion about the difference between page and category permissions.
