There's some examples of how to do this using miniblocks in the community documentation now. Also now in Composr when the WYSIWYG editor is disabled for some content it stays off for that content by default (because disablement code is added in). This allows you full control over what HTML you paste into your panels etc without the WYSIWYG breaking it.
