Hi Chris, I applied this fix and I can now select the advanced button and the forum areas that I want to be notified about. However no email is generated in the following scenario:

(1) Configure my notification for a forum.
(2) SU as a another user and create a new topic in the same forum.
(3) Wait for a notification email, it never comes.

If I tick the box to be notified for Content-> Forum Topic Activity -> by email then I get an email for all new topics in all forums and changes to those topics/posts - but I really want to narrow it down to a couple of the forum areas. This is true if I have the this boxed ticked and the one in the advanced section as well - I get notified for everything.

Any idea ?

I can see this was heavily bugged. I have updated the hotfix, plus the issue discussed over email.
