| Description | I sometimes opt for a non-tree catalogue and noticed that I have to select Automatic criteria when adding the entries. If this is by design to differentiate the views that's fair enough, but for the sake of consistency (I use tree views also) it would be nice if these non-tree fellows acted like their tree view brethren and logically sorted the categories by default. |

There seems to be a bug. It asks this sort order for any catalogue type, but is only used for non-tree catalogues (i.e. with an index screen). For tree catalogues the value does nothing.
EXCEPT it is doing so even if such a category is in a DIFFERENT CATALOGUE.
So that's a bug too.
