| Description | Wildcard IP bans are documented, but have not worked for quite some time because the functionality was forgotten. Currently they are rejected by the IP validator. Fix this by providing a much more robust implementation of wildcard-supporting IP validation, wildcard-supporting normalisation, and wildcard-based conversion to Apache CIDR syntax. Add substantial automated testing to ensure it all works robustly, and continues to do so. |
