Summary | 385: Integrate with MSW 'Live Writer' [Atom publishing protocol]
Description | As you know I had several difficulties with the blogging/news post editing functions of Composr. At times I have worked on multiple blogs all with different themes and features, and relied on Live Writer to make multiple postings to different blogging platforms easy. I am providing an attachment which details the formats LW works with. Do any of these formats 'ring a bell' as a possible path to link LW with Composr? Additionally, Wordpress has the ability to individually export posts into FB or Twitter posts automatically, without the need for clicking a sharing button. Is there any similar linking function (potential) here from Composr news (for instance) to these social platforms? Thank ya much! (These topics became a prominent as the WP importer (of Composr) did not function correctly when I worked with it.)

So, this would mean implementing the Atom Publishing Protocol: http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc5023 |

"Additionally, Wordpress has the ability to individually export posts into FB or Twitter posts automatically, without the need for clicking a sharing button. Is there any similar linking function (potential) here from Composr news (for instance) to these social platforms?" It is better to take questions to the forum, not asked in tracker issues. Especially if they don't relate very directly to the main issue. But basically it exists in 7.1 but is broken because Facebook and Twitter both changed their APIs recently. It is implemented in the development version via new improved addons. Please direct any further discussion to the forum, as the tracker is curated and not frequented so much. |

This use case would also be handled via Webdav support for importing word documents. That is my preferred thing because it is a system that would work for multiple content types, not just blogging. I would still accept this feature into Composr though. |
