Summary | 1166: Limit how many topic notifications can show
Description | When configuring topic notifications, it will show existing notifications on topics, as well as the possibility to change notification settings on whole forums. It must limit it to 250 topics though, or PHP will run out of memory (the internal 64MB limit) displaying details of all the topics.

Fixed in git commit f45b7af (https://github.com/chrisgraham/Composr/commit/f45b7af - link will become active once code pushed) A hotfix (a TAR of files to upload) have been uploaded to this issue. These files are made to the latest intra-version state (i.e. may roll in earlier fixes too if made to the same files) - so only upload files newer than what you have already. Always take backups of files you are replacing or keep a copy of the manual installer for your version, and only apply fixes you need. These hotfixes are not necessarily reliable or well supported. Not sure how to extract TAR files to your Windows computer? Try 7-zip (http://www.7-zip.org/). |

Hi Chris, I applied this fix and I can now select the advanced button and the forum areas that I want to be notified about. However no email is generated in the following scenario: (1) Configure my notification for a forum. (2) SU as a another user and create a new topic in the same forum. (3) Wait for a notification email, it never comes. If I tick the box to be notified for Content-> Forum Topic Activity -> by email then I get an email for all new topics in all forums and changes to those topics/posts - but I really want to narrow it down to a couple of the forum areas. This is true if I have the this boxed ticked and the one in the advanced section as well - I get notified for everything. Any idea ? Cheers Ade |

I can see this was heavily bugged. I have updated the hotfix, plus the issue discussed over email. |
