Mariadb keeps getting shut down with INNODB errors
preallocating x bytes for file ./ib_logfile101 failed with error 28
This is like the 2nd time this month that i get the dreaded Could not connect to database-server (when authenticating) (No such file or directory) error screen. All while posting to the forum in my composr-powered site.It seems that the forum is causing this issue. I wasn't having this issue before deploying the forum. Am I screwed with my installation? I am getting really tired of having to deal with this particular error. Last time it took me days to get the datebase working again...
Can you give me more context as to what you tried to do and how your database / site is set up? And what version of Composr CMS are you using?
Composr does not work well with INNODB and was designed for MYISAM. Granted, this is a very old standard, but we don't have enough developer power at the moment to work through re-designing Composr with INNODB in mind. Nonetheless it is on the tracker for v12.
Other things to consider: Do you have enough disk space? Can MariaDB write its INNODB logs and has permission to do so? Is your innodb_log_file_size set too high?

I have been able to determine this was something weird with the webhost. I've tried to get them involved and since have had to migrate from that host. Since migrating away I haven't had those issues, but there was some corruption in my database. It is a good thing I keep daily backups.
Daily backups are a must in this day and age, haha.
