| Description | Blue sky thinking:
All the current integration tests would get performance assertions. This would be coordinated against the performance of the CI system instances we are using, preloaded to what the current state of such performance is with a little buffer. If performance degrades, testing would fail. We would test memory usage, execution time, number of queries. Realistically it would probably just be a subset of tests rather than all of them. But we might write some new tests that test some key screens with both cold and warn cache runs, and also with slowed-down I/O, for more detailed and pointed testing. |
