| Description | Markdown has clearly won the war for text-based markup. BBCode-family is of the past. Markdown is supported by Slack, Microsoft Teams, GitHub, GitLab, Discord, Reddit, CKEditor, Wordpress, and Drupal - and anything new is going to be using it. Markdown is going to be far more generatable by LLMs than Comcode, due to large ingestation of source material.
We should probably do a hard-shift to Comcode as Markdown-based, with Comcode tags running on top of that. Legacy Comcode would probably best just be updated to the new format via an algorithm. |
