| Description | If you mention a member, they will get a notification. However, if any other user has topic notifications that are set to go to private topic, or some other notification that ties into the creation of the topic, the mentions may be sent in relation to that topic instead. Additionally, mentions of a member to themselves should not result in any notification. |
