| Description | Currently we have autocompletion based on past popular searches.
However, autocompletion based on actual database records would also be good. We should possibly only do this when searching a particular content type, as otherwise it may hurt performance too much (50 database queries every time a searcher presses one key...). |

| Additional information | Here is an example implementation with a nice UI:
https://ajaxlivesearch.com/ This would be an optional extension of this issue, as we could implement on top of our existing auto-completion UI as a simple list. Showing a table of results, rather than a list, is more work. |
