| Description | Make website administration more ipad/fullscreen-friendly, by building window management into Composr, based on blocks.
1) Make all the main content modules basically just embed blocks to display categories/content (i.e. they all like shells). 2) Alter Composr so all page navigation works via AJAX (it's possible to adjust the URL in modern browsers even when navigating using AJAX). 3) Implement an overlays framework, so we can have windows overlaying the main site. 4) Persist overlays between AJAX navigations. 5) Allow any block to be copied out into an overlay (staff-only). 6) Allow overlays to be minimised to the footer (so it's like a dock/taskbar). 7) Allow overlays to be copied into a new browser tab. 8) Or back again. 9) Allow things like Admin Search to open in an overlay. Generally this should solve some of the tedium of working with webapps. |
