| Description | Hold live hangouts on YouTube. YouTube just implemented a new feature where you can interactively donate money, and it shows up nicely in the chat field ("super chat"). This is a good way of funding it.
I see this live chat as achieving quite a wide variety of distinct objectives: 1) Strengthen our community 2) Provide a good window for high-quality free support (without it opening the gates to 24x7 requests) 3) Discuss specific things to come to group solutions 4) Teach coding, hopefully to... a) encourage others to get involved with Composr b) or at least code on their own site 5) Have some fun (I really enjoy resolving quick tracker issues actually) 6) Demonstrate momentum 7) Provide a quick and cheap way to produce new video tutorial content |

| Additional information | Previously we had this idea, but as there was no clear funding model I shot it down. |

Comments
We will promote the chat across Composr social media channels weekly.
CHRIS:
Open up a blank text file of notes (using this and agenda items to start with, then whittle it down before starting the chat)
Reannounce on social media with link
Make sure people around will be quiet
Make sure Skype and Email app and notes is closed
Have test site ready, open on second screen in incognito site
Drink some caffeine if needed. and go to bathroom
Make sure webcam is aligned well, and put on headphones
Join 15 minutes early, chit-chat until proper start (which is when the Agenda starts)
JACOB:
Prepare to record feed (CHRIS do if Jacob having technical issues)
CHRIS/JACOB:
Do the live feed
Welcome everybody at formal start time ("announce")
Ask people if they have any particular questions
Ask people about their own particular sites, showcasing, what they have been working on, group can be making suggestions and explaining things; try and nurture people to talk
Go through agenda items
Close off by deciding time for next week, taking into account preferences of people in chat, and known times others can attend
Do the second programming feed, if we feel like it
Ask people if they favour any particular issues to implement, and look at what is up-voted
Reply to people on forum that nobody has replied to yet (if there are any)
JACOB:
Upload final to YouTube after some editing, and putting down timestamps of main video sections
Set video descriptions to mention what was covered
~~~~
CHRIS:
Post code on forum in announcement topic and link to video (wait for Jacob's non-streamed upload)
Add community chat to Playlist on our channel
~~~~
CHRIS:
Ask a few people directly to come to next one - e.g. Robbie, Allen, Salman, Patrick, Kingbast, Rishi, SoccerDad, Jason - ask what times they can do for the chat after next, so we can consider how to schedule it
MARKETING:
Publicise next one on social media using our graphic
CHRIS:
Set agenda via forum discussion in advance for next one
Use the previous one as a template
Possibilities for things we could decide to discuss in advance:
Something we have to decide, group discussion (try and think of some genuine questions)
A video tutorial (preferably one that is of particular interest to at least one participant)
Questions / problems, in advance, or written in
News to announce (our own)
News to discuss (external)
Set agenda for coding stream too
Tagged tracker issues https://compo.sr/tracker/tag_view_page.php?tag_id=63, esp ones Chris monitors (ask people to vote for what they want too)
Make it a pinned and cascaded topic in the root forum
Unpin/uncascade the former topic, and move it to General Chat forum
~~~~
Tips:
Don't keep your screen share open after you've finished using it, as people won't be able to see your face
Make sure to use headphones, to avoid putting feedback into the chat
If asking questions, give people a few extra seconds to reply, because Internet connections can be laggy, and people need a bit more time to think than in a normal social situation
