Description Hello,
I'm discussing with a monastic colleague about making certain certain slideshows from my private church website viewable to the public on another of our websites using a javascript popup window. He asked me to type up the following suggestions.
-------------------
Regarding max size of photos, it's rare for small screens to have 1024 pixels of available height inside the browser window, assuming they have the normal bars at the top of the browser. For example, some naive IE users will keep as much as 200 pixels worth of menu bars open at the top of the browser window by default. So, if the maximum size of images is set to be constrained to 1024, this works fine for landscape-horizontal photos, but not for portrait-vertical photos, which will always be cut off in these contexts. What we need, is the option to constrain photo size by both width and height, ergo we can set width to ex. 1000 and height to 700 for vertical photos. This would be ideal.

Regarding slideshow options, it would really be great to integrate a quality jquery slideshow presentation framework. Our favorite option, if we had a choice, would be Galleria from Aino, galleria.aino.se. This open-source toolbox is very popular, very well done; it allows the admin to customize size and height to fit context, supports lightbox, and already has integrations on wordpress and drupal. We would love to see this in Composr.

Our use case is to be able to share slideshows, including captions, by sending embed code to another admin of another website so that he could see a gallery with thumbnails and captions from within Composr a la the same way we can embed YouTube videos on any other website.

Thank you for consideration of these ideas.
