Additionally, the Authors module is listed as being in the Collaboration Zone on the Sitemap, but not on the Main Menu (I thought the menu and the sitemap were effectively the same thing?).

Would only show for an author profile linked to a member one. OTTOMH that's either by an explicit member ID provided in the author profile settings, or by sharing the same name as a username.
