| Description | Have a script in the data folder to which all outbound links point to (if configured) via base_url/data/out.php?redirect=somewebsite.com . Additional ideas for configuration options to use if this feature is enabled: * A message to display such as warning the user about loading an external website, and that (site name) is not responsible for any of its content. * Perhaps the ability to make an API call to some URL checking service that can return information about a site's trust / security level and display it on the mentioned screen (should utilize cache as APIs usually have a call limit). Potential services: Google Web Risk API (commercial) or Safe Browsing API (non-commercial) preferably the Update API to avoid frequent calls, apivoid, phishtank (a Free solution) * Setting to immediately redirect with no message unless the site is labeled as untrusted from an API | ||||
| Additional Information | a) Will need to be considerate of shortened URLs. b) Will need to be mindful of the broken URL scanner and make sure it uses the URL being redirected to rather than the data script itself. | ||||
