Summary | 2943: Support local payment forms mode (hosted remotely-sourced forms)
Description | We have local payments, and remote payments, but there is an inbetween supported on many payment gateways -- we host the form, then we post that form to the gateway. Change the local payments option to represent 3 possible choices, then implement for each payment gateway.

1545 handles this for PayPal. We can also do for authorize.net (it's called DPM) and Worldpay ("Hosted payment pages: iframe or lightbox"). I don't think CCBill has the feature. Secpay is due for reimplementation anyway, as that company was taken over and the current implementation is legacy. |

We should document the advantages of each mode. Potentially supports more than credit card payment (e.g. eCheck, PayPal, Bitcoin): - Remote payment - Local payment form Avoids PCI compliance process: - Remote payment - Local payment form Maximum flexibility of integration and styling: - Local payment full Appears most trustful (due to no third party sites): - Local payment full Complex custom subscription payment scenarios: - Local payment full |
