| Summary | 1374: Re-rationalise flash Comcode tag | ||||
| Description | The 'flash' Comcode tag also can handle audio and video. This is a legacy situation, as Flash used to be the only good way to do these things. We would be better having a 'media' Comcode tag which tied into the same code (i.e. templates) as attachment display. For this to work those templates would need adjusting to not assume local files. Even better, we would merge with gallery media display, so that the gallery uses the same templates. | ||||
| Additional Information | We're still not quite post-Flash as we support IE8. Once we drop IE8 support, Flash becomes (more or less) just a feature for games. | ||||
