We apologize for the instability of composr.app and appreciate your patience. We are working on the statistics addon and trying to find an optimal way to store and render data. Unfortunately, we have yet to find a solution that can handle the traffic (and therefore, tens of millions of statistical records) of composr.app. We're working hard on one.
We do this? I thought it only happened in 3rd party code, and I don't think we should be upgrading coding standards on third party code unless PHP really isn't able to run it anymore (and if resyncing with an updated dependency or a replacement option is not feasible).
Yes there are a few files that have this. I think I already fixed the few instances that were left over in modules, but there are still a few instances in code_editor.php.
