Basically I'm thinking we need to keep it really simple and seamless, meaning there is just one browsable set/collection of whatever images/videos were added to an article, and it gets automatically created when the author saves their article. The author doesn't have to take any more steps than they do now.
Of course in the background you could still build in the ability to have separate collections in the same article, but this wouldn't be presented outfront.
I may have additional thoughts as you get this created, but this is all that comes to mind at the moment.
