#3176 - Experiment: Async JS and CSS loading in Composr

Salman is looking at this for v11 already as part of a major JavaScript overhaul. It's not a matter of just deferring all the JavaScript as all inline JavaScript then will fail (I know you cover this, but there's 100s of inline event handlers that can't be guarded). And there will be loads of edge cases about assumptions about load order. I'd rather keep it off the tracker as an active issue, but you can still edit/comment in its now-closed state.
Ah okay. I was not aware of that. Will Sal be implementing async JS loading or at least be implementing some code so that the JS and CSS is not render blocking? I noticed in v10 that's a big speed downfall, especially after I've been going in and adding in the async deferring.
CSS is necessarily render blocking. You don't want it to paint without the right CSS, then have to do a repaint.

I haven't discussed with Salman (maybe he'll notice this issue, or you can bring it to him), but I have seen https://github.com/ocproducts/composr/commit/da4c93b20363b9ce866370c46676efe17e907ccf
