if numbers cannot be done, at the very least i'd like to see an indication that shows on the icon when I have at least one unread notification. It'd be very helpful.

EDIT: Apparently notifications change opacity when there are unread ones. It was very hard to catch that. Still, I think having numbers would be better. Apparently they're supposed to be displayed in a tool tip, but I don't see it.
