Have you ever considered bookmarking the little number link shown next to a post? As a team we've discussed this before and came to the conclusion that works quite nicely.

Hi Chris, thanks for considering this feature. Yes, currently I'm bookmarking the ID's, however, that only helps when I'm in front of my PC. If I'm on another computer, I lose this functionality.

To be honest I doubt this will get implemented by ocProducts (maybe a third party would do an addon sometime though). So immediate practical advice would be to get a copy of x-marks. Runs cross platform/browser to sync all your bookmarks. I find it invaluable between my home and work PC's.
