Description If you add someone as a friend, you get the message "You've now added test as a friend. test has been sent a notification, asking if he/she wishes to display you as a friend also."

However, it is possible for the other person to have the notification disabled, in which case they never know they were added as a friend, and cannot accept the request / add back (unless, on their own will, they go to the other person's profile and add them).

Possible approaches:
a) A more clear / concise message when someone adds someone else as a friend who has the notification disabled
b) Force web notifications for friend requests for all members
c) Disable the ability to add someone as a friend if they have the notification disabled

I think A is most reasonable given how the friend system works.

Additional information Also, the add friend link is still present even if you added someone as a friend until / unless they add you back.
