Description	Adding this ticket on the basis that your role as Admin may present you with a different view, but when the site is offline the homepage loses elements and layout. Even though the site is rarely offline, you may want to ensure this page at least displays correctly (or instead provides the site offline message).

Actually the site wasn't closed, looks like it just didn't fully load for you. Thanks for reporting though.

KingBlast, I had just informed Chris that Compo.sr is, in fact, closed. It shows so on my end... and apparently probably happened out of error. So it is being investigated. :)

Yeah it was showing as being offline for updates, I assumed updates were happening but it was like that for nearly 24 hours. Site was loading fine, just got the offline message on every page except the homepage which was missing the css styling (but that has been fixed now).

Layout fixed.

A hacker had triggered closed site mode without our awareness. Fortunately it wasn't a serious vulnerability, just a poorly written maintenance script they were able to trigger, which they found out about via git.

Ahh, not really a hacker and more a chancer :P Glad it wasn't anything serious, I just assumed you'd done a lot of updates and fallen asleep at the wheel to be honest :)
