| Description | I have a parent recruitment forum that I use to just cluster the sub-forums together. The parent forum is read-only for everyone, except for admin.
There are three sub-forums, where new members can post to asking to join up for a specific game, etc. The random issue we are having is that some new members end up posting in the parent recruitment forum where they only have read-only permissions. We then have to direct them to post in the correct sub-forum. My other admin and myself have tried to reproduce this issue, but we are unable to. |
| Steps to reproduce | 1) Join vvarmachine.com 2) Validate email 3) Somehow post on read-only parent forum |
| Additional information | When a member joins and validates their email, they get placed in the "Recruit" user group.
From there they are asked to post under one of the recruitment sub-forums, which they have read/write access to, and these sub-forums include post templates to make sure we get the information we want. An email is sent out to the user with direct links to the sub-forums. If a user goes through the forum and clicks on recruitment they get a message directing them on where to go. Even if they can somehow end up adding a post to this parent forum, there is a template there that says "DON'T POST HERE". We seem to get 1-2 every few days. PHP Information attached. |
