This is a regulated forum. If you wish to submit a measure, please keep in mind the following:

• Make sure you have good reason for the measure and can justify how it will benefit the Composr community.
• Make sure someone else has not already proposed the measure recently (a month is a good guideline to follow).
• Make sure the measure is in line with the Constitution and would not be considered "unconstitutional".
• Make sure you provide the full text of the measure upfront in your initial post; do not leave any details out which you want considered when members vote.
• All measures are required to have a topic poll. And topic polls follow strict regulations, as explained in the Constitution. Do not worry, the site ensures compliance for you.
• Please contact a Board member if/when your measure passes and the measure necessitates action on their part.
• Once you create your measure, it is up to you to promote it (in a neutral way) and encourage others to vote on it.

When voting on a measure, please keep in mind the following:

• Read, and understand, the measure in full before you vote.
• If you do not understand the measure, read the posts on the topic, and if you still do not understand, make a post asking for clarification.
• Vote honestly, and try not to let bias or other members influence your position.
• Your votes are weighted according to your voting power, which is determined by your rank points, which are earned through your contributions in the community. See your profile's points tab to view your current voting power.

When making a post on a measure, please keep in mind the following:

• Be respectful, and make sure your post follows the guidelines in the Constitution.
• Do not coerce others into voting a specific way. You may, however, submit your educated opinion.
• Please make your post constructive to the conversation (e.g. simply posting "i agree" or "I disagree" is not constructive).
